Zusammenfassung

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to take radiographic films and support physicians with diagnoses at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.

You will prepare and position patients, manage exposure factors, and administer contrast media within scope and regulations. This role requires BLS within 30 days and appropriate ARRT/ARDMS credentials as listed, along with maintaining image quality for PACS submission.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Possible credentials: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography), ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Sonography), ARDMS Medical Sonographer, as required prior to hire.

Aufgaben

• Take radiologic films to provide quality images for physician diagnosis.
• Prepare and position patients; select exposure factors accurately.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Observe patients during procedures and report abnormalities; monitor protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images and documents are sent to PACS with correct markers and data/history.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and report issues; lock/tag equipment as needed.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization including rooms and storage areas.
• Position patients and select anatomical/technical parameters accurately.
