Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic procedures according to department protocols, TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. CT experience a plus.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT and Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist certification or second semester clinical radiology student of a JCERT approved radiology program who has completed all diagnostic radiology procedure/patient care competencies.
• Able to perform fluoro portables, surgery, ED and routines as needed.
• Must be familiar with state and federal regulations.
• BLS required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
