Job summary

IRMC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety. You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, and maintain image quality while adhering to ALARA principles.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, uploading images to PACS, and collaborating with radiologists and the health-care team to deliver timely exams. Requires ARRT within 6 months and BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• ARRT registration within 6 months of graduation; BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per physician orders.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal images.
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Verify patient identification and orders before exams.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions.
• Upload and review images in PACS meeting quality standards.
• Follow image storage, labeling, and documentation protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and care team for timely exams.
• Communicate clearly with patients to ensure comfort.
• Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures.
• Maintain infection control and hospital standards.
• Stay current with continuing education and licensure requirements.
