Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality imaging. The role requires ARRT program completion and at least a High School diploma or GED, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

The incumbent will work with RTs to position patients, operate CR/DR/PACS equipment, and maintain safety standards while supporting healthcare teams across radiology services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited ARRT Program. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Experience: Minimum of two (2) years.

Responsibilities

• Follows radiation safety practices per guidelines.
• Positions patients and selects proper technical factors to obtain quality imaging.
• Operates radiographic CR, DR, and PACS equipment.
• Ensures equipment is maintained and reports malfunctions.
• Reviews orders and completes exams in EMR and PACS.
• Provides imaging on CD when requested and imports into PACS.
• Acts as liaison between providers and radiologists.
