Job summary

Nutex Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech Multi-modality to operate our imaging equipment and deliver high-quality diagnostic images in a hospital setting.

You will position patients, perform scans, administer contrast when needed, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with infection control standards. Strong communication with clinicians is essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • ARRT or RDMS certification as required.
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients accurately for CT, X-ray, MRI or US examinations.
  • Perform warm-up sequences and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment per infection control protocols.
  • Follow physicians' scanning instructions precisely.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents when indicated.
  • Review scans for technical quality and clarity.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain radiology supplies and report deficiencies.

Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.**Job Shift:** FT**Key Responsibilities:*** Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.* Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.* Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.* Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately.* Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.* Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.* Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.* Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.* Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.**Required Qualifications:*** Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.* At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting.* An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training.* Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.* Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.**Skills and Qualities:*** Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.* Compassion and patience in dealing with diverse patient populations.* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry developments and best practices in radiological technology.* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.**Working Conditions:*** Potential exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases necessitates strict adherence to infection control protocols.
