Job summary

Lake Cumberland Orthopedics in Somerset, KY is seeking a full-time Radiology Technician (RT) / Medical Assistant for day shifts. The role performs imaging procedures, educates patients, prepares equipment and contrast, and ensures accurate imaging reports.

You will monitor patient status and maintain safety protocols during exams. Required qualifications include graduation from a relevant program, ARRT certification within 6 months of hire, and AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in discipline; current licensure or equivalent.
• AART registration within 6 months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Performs safety and quality control on equipment; reports malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and addresses image quality issues.
• Enters and reports scan results.
