Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist II to perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic procedures under Radiologist supervision. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, patient safety, and high-quality imaging across age groups in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate and maintain imaging equipment, document studies in EMR/RIS/PACS, assist during fluoroscopy and contrast procedures, and collaborate with the radiology team to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two year radiologic technology program from an accredited school.
• 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.
• ARRT Registered and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-quality radiographic examinations using proper positioning and protocols across all age groups.
• Independently perform trauma alerts, complex portable imaging, fluoroscopy, basic C-arm cases, and sterile contrast exams.
• Verify exam orders and document diligently within EMR, RIS, and PACS.
• Assess patient condition and ensure safety, dignity, and comfort during imaging.
• Apply ALARA principles and radiation safety standards.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
• Assist physicians during fluoroscopic and contrast procedures using sterile technique.
• Demonstrate independent judgment and adapt factors to optimize imaging outcomes.
• Move and transport patients safely with proper body mechanics.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and manage supply inventory.
• Document imaging details and contrast usage accurately in systems.
• Deliver age-appropriate care and participate in procedure optimization.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflow and standards.
