Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Radiology this position provides health care services, applying x-ray energy, computer processing or pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist in diagnoses or treatment; performs related procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner while exercising professional judgment in performance of services, and applies appropriate patient care recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.

  1. Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with advanced certification in CT (ARRT-CT) required if assigned to CT.
  2. Current BLS certification required.
  3. Certification by the State of California (CRT) required.
  4. Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy required for Radiology Tech II and above.
  5. MAB test required within 6 months of hire if assigned to work in the Emergency Department. Not required for Cath Lab.
  6. IV contrast injections certification required within 6 months of hire.
