Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Radiology department in Turlock, CA. The role involves operating imaging equipment, assisting radiologists, and providing patient care and education, with on-site responsibilities during evening shifts.

The position requires California licensure in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, CT experience, BLS, and availability for on-call rotations. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California, Radiologic Health Section, Department of Health.
• Must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
• CT experience required.
• Obtain Fluoroscopy permit within two years of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Able to recognize life-threatening conditions and perform basic life support.
• Ability to position the body for imaging and operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.

Operates radiation imaging equipment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images. Assists radiologist and other physicians performing imaging procedures. Provides procedural-related patient care and education. Maintains record and documentation for procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California., Radiologic Health Section, Department of Health.
• Must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
• CT experience
• Obtain Fluoroscopy permit within two years of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry, record maintenance. Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
• Ability to accurately position the body for imaging. Utilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce a desired image.
• Ability to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce a quality diagnostic image.
• Use of beam restricting devices, patient shielding techniques, proper screen-film combinations, assessment and implementation of appropriate exposure to factors to minimize radiation exposure.
• One year Radiologic Technologist experience in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Specials, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine.
• Working hours while on-call may be inconvenient or unpleasant. Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of being paged while on call.
