Job summary

Garden City Hospital in Alabama is seeking a dedicated Radiography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across modalities including radiography, CT, mammography, and bone density. You will be the first point of contact for patients and work within a team to deliver precise imaging per department protocols.

The role requires state licensure, appropriate national certifications, and BCLS. You will help maintain equipment, support quality improvement activities, and ensure timely transmission

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• National Certification in radiology modalities.
• BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound or Special Procedures per department protocols.
• Interfaces with customers to fulfill imaging needs and promote good service.
• Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager's/Director's absence.
• Maintains department supplies and ensures scheduling for sub departments.
• Transmits images to PACS and supports PI/QC activities.

Responsibilities

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound or Special Procedures according to department protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/ QC activities. Assists in Maintaining Performance Improvement Program. Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager's / Director's absence. Maintains department supplies. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. . Does scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintains supplies and equipment for assigned sub department. Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.2. Required National Certification and Job performance in modalities that do not require a certification…a. Appropriate National Certifications in two Modalitiesb. or Certification in one Modality + (Bone Density to be performed or IR Special procedures to be performed or unregistered CT tech and performs CT procedures)c. or Certification in one Modality + Student Coordinator.3. Current BCLS (AHA). 4. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.5. One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred6. Proficient computer skills.
