Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiology technology program required.
• Experience: None required; one year of experience preferred.
• Current State of Texas license required; Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment; ARRT registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proper setup, use and operation of X-ray equipment, utilizing correct settings for each examination.
• Positions and instructs patients, and determines proper exposure factors for each radiograph.
• Proper setup, use and operation of mobile X-ray equipment.
• Uses proper safety standards and radiation protection devices.
• Under direction of Radiologist, administers contrast media of different kinds for evaluation of internal organs and systems.
• Attends all in-services and meetings as required.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and appropriate handling of PHI.
• Abides by the HMH Legal Compliance Code of Conduct.
• Maintains a safe work environment and reports safety concerns appropriately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
