Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center Radiology is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist for a day shift with start times ranging from 6:30am to 9:00am. The role includes rotating weekends and two holiday shifts per year, with minimal on-call requirements.

You will operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, ensure image quality, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities include patient positioning, shielding, image labeling, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology.
• Prior radiology experience is desirable and beneficial for diverse age groups.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate radiographic technique and position patients for optimal image quality.
• Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.
• Label images, use proper tech markers, and document quality control and performance data.
• Transfer patients and maintain timely patient flow while ensuring safety and infection control.
• Adhere to department standards and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
