Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support patient care in the radiology department. The role includes assisting with patient intake, proper positioning for exams, and transporting patients to and from the imaging area under the supervision of a Registered Technologist or Registered Nurse.
Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred Health related education or certification.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Health related education or certification Experience / Qualifications: Previous experience related experience preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida preferred. American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider.
The Radiology Tech Assistant performs specific tasks supporting the delivery of patient care in the assigned area. Works under the direction of a Registered Technologist and/or Registered Nurse. Assists with receiving patient in the exam room, proper positioning of patients for exams, discussing exams and preps with patients. Assists in the transport of patients to and from the designated exam area. Assists Technologist on recording patient history on screening questionnaire. Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Frequent walking and pushing beds required. Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated.
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis. Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation. TB/PPD Surveillance Program. Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
