Job summary

Mid-America Surgery Institute in Kansas is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under Physician direction within an ambulatory surgery center. You’ll ensure patient safety, prepare exams, and maintain equipment according to protocols.

Required ARRT certification, state license, and BLS; 1+ year radiology experience in OR or surgery center preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team at an HCA-affiliated facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology
• ARRT certification required or equivalent
• State radiology technician license required
• BLS within 30 days of start is required

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams and procedures
• Assemble supplies and positioning aids as per physician’s preference card
• Test and monitor radiology equipment for proper operation
• Document records and forms per policies
• Ensure shielding and safety before activating x-ray
• Communicate patient status to care staff
• Maintain instruments, supplies and equipment per cleaning and calibration procedures
