Job summary

Mid-America Surgery Institute, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is hiring a Radiology Technologist for our ambulatory surgery center in Overland Park, Kansas. The role supports physicians and adheres to established radiology protocols to promote positive patient outcomes.

You will prepare patients, manage equipment, document records, and ensure shielding before x-ray procedures. ARRT, BLS, and state license are required, with 1+ year of radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology required.
• 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS required (Within 30-Days of Start)
• State Radiology Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling per physician’s preference card.
• Test and monitor equipment for proper working condition.
• Document records and forms adhering to policies/procedures.
• Ensure room shielding before activating x-ray.
• Communicate patient status to other staff.
• Maintain instruments, supplies and equipment by cleaning, storing, calibrating.
