Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide to support radiology teams across two campuses (Augusta and Waterville). The role requires collaboration with technologists and nurses to ensure patient safety and comfort, and to maintain efficient room turnover.

The position is per diem with weekend coverage, and occasional weekday coverage; prior radiology experience is preferred and basic life support is a plus. Compensation ranges reflect base hourly pay with possible shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Previous medical experience required.
• Radiology experience highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists and nursing staff in direct/indirect patient care and in maintaining safety and comfort of patients.
• Assist patients onto and off the examination table and support efficient room turnover.
• Collect patient information and data, track orders and images in information systems, and help maintain equipment and supply inventories.

Tech Aides will provide rotating coverage across two campuses (Augusta and Waterville locations), with weekend shifts typically scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Occasional weekday coverage may also be requested based on staffing needs.The Opportunity:Assists technologists and nursing staff in direct/indirect patient care responsibilities, including lifting/assisting patients onto and off of the examining table, ensuring patient’s safety and comfort, and ensuring efficient room turnover.Assists technologists and nurses in the collection of patient information, relevant data, tracking of orders and images in the information systems.Follows established standards to obtain patient supplies and maintain supply inventories.Meets established standards for maintenance and control of equipment and for cleanliness of general service areas.Exhibits a professional, courteous and positive demeanor, at all times, to the patients, staff and patient’s family utilizing appropriate age specific standards and customer service.You Have:Previous medical experience requiredPrevious Radiology experience highly preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferredCompensation Information:$15.10 - $26.43The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position.
