Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta and Waterville is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide to support radiology teams across our campuses. This per diem role includes weekend coverage, with shifts typically on Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional weekday coverage based on staffing needs.

You will assist technologists and nurses with patient care, gather patient information, help with supplies and room turnover, and maintain a courteous, safety‑focused environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Previous medical experience required.
• Previous Radiology experience highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists and nursing staff in direct/indirect patient care responsibilities, including lifting/assisting patients onto and off of the examining table, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and ensuring efficient room turnover.
• Assist technologists and nurses in the collection of patient information, relevant data, tracking of orders and images in the information systems.
• Follow established standards to obtain patient supplies and maintain supply inventories.
• Exhibit a professional, courteous and positive demeanor to patients, staff and families following age-specific customer service standards.

Tech Aides will provide rotating coverage across two campuses (Augusta and Waterville locations), with weekend shifts typically scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
