Job summary

Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations across all ages. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, prepare rooms, and maintain supplies and records while supporting departmental performance improvement.

You will mentor students and may be required to participate in call shifts to meet departmental needs, within a supportive hospital environment dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with an associate degree or graduation within 6 months.
• Registered with ARRT or registry eligible, must be registered within 1 year of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• SCRQSA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient data before procedures and explain the procedure to be performed.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and medications; ensure patient records are up to date.
• Demonstrate proficiency with imaging modalities including portable, fluoroscopy, tomography, and c-arms.
• Act as a clinical instructor for Radiologic Technology students as needed.
• Call may be required to meet departmental needs.

Job Summary

Provide radiographic examinations for patients of all ages using diagnostic imaging modalities. This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental performance improvement program. Technologists also function as clinical instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program. Call required at times to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient data before procedure (DOB, age, and history) and explains procedure to be performed, facilitates patients’ cooperation and alleviates anxiety.
• Transfers patient to exam table; ensures proper covering of patient according to policy and procedure
• Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movement
• Demonstrates satisfactory positioning and equipment knowledge; consistently produces radiographs of diagnostic quality
• Always demonstrates working knowledge and proficiency with imaging equipment, including, but not limited to portables, c-arms, tomography, fluoroscopy, head unit, and general radiographic equipment
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required:

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with an associate degree or equivalent or graduation within 6 months.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:

Preferred

• Experience: Radiology Technologist or related experience is preferred.
