Job summary

University Orthopedics in East Providence, RI is seeking a full-time X-Ray Runner/Aide to support the Radiology Department. The role includes transporting patients, importing outside imaging into PACS, and coordinating with X-Ray Techs and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, patients and physicians.
• Proficiency in EHR, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a high-volume patient base clinic.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility with work hours.
• Medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Organizational skills.
• Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Escort and transport patients to and from imaging rooms.
• Import outside imaging into the PACS system.
• Communicate with X-Ray Techs, staff members and patients.
• Assist in preparing, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining X-Ray rooms, examining rooms, and patient dressing areas.
• Assist in setting up equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.
