Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technology Assistant to join the imaging team. You will support radiology technologists during exams, ensure patient comfort, and help with scheduling, preparation, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist across imaging modalities from X-ray to ultrasound, ensuring patients are welcomed, informed, and positioned correctly. Prior clinical exposure is preferred, with BLS certification required on hire or orientation.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Medical knowledge and terminology preferred.
• One (1) year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Elevate the patient experience during check-in and explain imaging prep clearly.
• Assist radiology technologists and physicians during exams across imaging modalities.
• Transport and position patients for optimal imaging and comfort.
• Handle scheduling coordination, documentation, and exam preparation to keep the department running smoothly.
• Work flexibly across imaging sections to gain exposure to different specialties.
• Follow established protocols to maintain high standards of patient care.
