Job summary

Marion Health is seeking a Transport Aide to provide transportation for patients to and from departments and to assist with routine room setup and patient preparation. The role involves maintaining transport equipment, dressing patients for examinations, and supporting the technologist with tasks such as answering phones, setting up rooms, and handling paperwork.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification (or obtain during Orientation).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification or must obtain during Orientation and prior to reporting to department.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from the department for patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of transport equipment and report mechanical problems to manager.
• Dress patients for examinations when needed.
• Assist the Technologist with duties such as answering phones, setting up rooms, cleaning rooms, handling paperwork, positioning and immobilization of patients.
