Qualifications

• Graduate of a J.R.C.E.R.T. approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• 3 years experience as a radiology technician
• 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
• Name: NY State License (LRT) Issuing Agency: ARRT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises, oversees, organizes and directs work of assigned subordinates engaged in performing routine and special radiology procedures.
• Establishes work priorities in accordance with daily assignments or patient load.
• Prepares and maintains work schedules and adjusts as needed.
• Interviews and recommends hiring, discipline and discharge of subordinates; trains and evaluates their work.
• Supervises radiology technicians and evaluates their conformance to procedures and safety rules.
• Develops and administers department policies and procedures for work processes, scheduling, and safety.
• Reviews time cards and may authorize overtime as needed.
• Maintains supplies and participates in evaluating cost effectiveness of new or replacement items.
• Ensures equipment is safe and maintained; performs monthly quality control testing.
• Develops cooperative relationships with physicians and patient care departments.
