Job summary

Dimmit Regional Hospital in Carrizo Springs, TX is seeking a Radiology Supervisor to plan, organize and oversee the Imaging/Radiology Services Department. You will ensure patient care quality and smooth daily workflow while driving performance improvement and staff competency.

Qualified candidates have five years of diagnostic/procedures experience, AMA‑approved radiologic training, and TX radiology certification; strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AAS degree or hospital-based training certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
• At least five active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience.
• Current membership in Radiologic Technologist professional organization.
• Texas certification to practice and administer radiation.
• BLS for healthcare providers certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Radiology Supervisor – Radiology Job Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the overall operation of the Imaging/Radiology Services Department. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly. Ensures smooth patient flow throughout the day. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QI activities. Assures competency of all staff. Formulates the budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all accrediting organization, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Develops, implements and reviews department policies.

Regulatory Requirements

• AAS degree or hospital‑based training certification required. Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Administrative/Supervisory experience preferred.
• At least five (5) active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience.
• Current membership and active participation in the Radiologic Technologist professional organization.
• Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers' certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
• Computer knowledge necessary, including proficiency in Word and Windows.
