Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Student Tech to support the Radiology team in diagnostic imaging under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. The role focuses on safe, accurate imaging and patient handling in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient information for exams and assisting with patient transport while maintaining high quality care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and has successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required or preferred upon hire)
• GXMO (General X-Ray Machine Operator) state limited license preferred unless required by state

Job Summary

The Radiology Student Tech must work under the direction of the Registered Radiologic Technologist. Committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation, in the area of diagnostic radiology.

Essential Functions

• Assists with the review of patient information as it relates to radiographic exams.
• Provides lifting assistance and escorts patients to and from Radiology.

Education

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and has successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (required)

Required Licensing & Certifications
