Looking for someone currently enrolled in a Rad Tech Program with a passion for the Cath Lab.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Support Assistant will assist with the flow of imaging images and reports from all the modalities used for patient care within the system.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist technologists with the daily workflow of imaging patients.
2. Verify patient identification using two identifiers.
3. Transport patients from other units and departments to the radiology department.
4. Escort patients to and from the waiting room to the appropriate department.
5. Print reports, create CDs, and electronically share images as requested.
6. Receive, import, and log outside images into PACS and Epic systems.
7. Utilize e-sharing image solutions to expedite image transfers.
8. Maintain tracking mechanisms for incoming and outgoing imaging records.

Education:

• High School Degree or GED (required)
• Associate degree (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)

Experience:

• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)
• PACS experience (preferred)
• Healthcare experience (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

• Problem solving, active listening, time management, organization, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service via email and phone in a high-stress environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and radiology imaging anatomy.
