Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Radiology Director for Imaging Services to manage the Radiology Department, establish policies and standards, and ensure efficient delivery of radiological services. The role requires prior radiologic technologist experience, graduation from an accredited radiology program, ARRT registration, Kansas radiography registration, CPR certification, and ongoing CEU maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Radiological Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Registered by ARRT
• State of Kansas registration to take Radiographs
• Maintains CEU’s as per state of Kansas and the ARRT
• CPR certified

Responsibilities

• Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions, if appropriate.
• Develops department goals and objectives, and establishes and implements policies and procedures for department operation.
• Develops department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of department reports.
• Ensures the delivery of quality services in areas of operation. Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing, and administrative staff.
• Establishes and maintains communication within the hospital. Develops relationships with professional affiliations and others as is appropriate.
• Oversees new testing procedures and related protocol. Encourages and approves introduction and demonstration of new techniques, equipment, etc.
• Directs maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports and other such reports.
• Performs radiographic examinations
• Obtains pertinent history, answers patient questions and explains procedures.
• Assists in inventory control and ordering supplies
• Selects and operates equipment as directed.
• Maintains x‑ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside services for major malfunctions.
• Reviews and evaluates completed test for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.
• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area.
• Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT registration

Registered by the State of Kansas to take Radiographs

Maintains CEU’s per Kansas and ARRT
