Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Radiology Tech Scheduler to manage scheduling of radiology services and procedures on the Omaha campus. You will coordinate clinic appointments, diagnostic and procedural services, and communicate with patients, staff and physicians to ensure timely care.

The role requires experience in radiology scheduling, strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with scheduling systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year inpatient hospital radiology technologist experience or two years Scheduling Associate experience with radiology focus
• High school education or equivalent
• Three years post-secondary education in business/medical assistant/nursing assistant OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling
• Completion of a JRCERT accredited radiology program and/or nursing licensure
• One Chart/OpTime training upon orientation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Complete complex scheduling of multiple appointments for patient services on campus
• Provide clerical support for scheduling and coordination of services and procedures
• Assist patients, staff and physicians while upholding service standards and patient satisfaction
• Facilitate internal and external referrals and ensure consult notes are received
