Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Registered Nurse for Radiology to coordinate nursing care, perform patient assessments and educate patients and families. The RN will support providers, ensure documentation in the EMR, and assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments.

A strong emphasis is placed on safety, coordination, and patient-centered care. The role involves 36 hours weekly across three 12-hour shifts with a typical clinical setting and required RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN with radiology nursing experience or exposure preferred.
• Ability to assess and educate patients and families.
• Proficient in triage and coordinating care with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and coordinate nursing care in Radiology.
• Perform patient assessment, family teaching and triage.
• Provide clinical support to provider and patient for diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow up on diagnostic tests and document in EMR for continuity.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedures and review history and meds.
