Job summary

Geisinger in California is seeking a registered nurse for Radiology to provide patient assessment, education, and triage within imaging services. You will deliver primary clinical support to physicians, coordinate nursing care, and ensure documentation in the electronic medical record.

The role entails 36 hours weekly across three 12-hour shifts, with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration with the radiology team.

Qualifications

• Assessment, evaluation and coordination of nursing care.
• Patient assessment, patient and family teaching and triage.
• At least one year of RN work experience required.
• Provides nursing care in Radiology including imaging and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and coordinate nursing care in Radiology.
• Perform patient assessments and patient/family teaching and triage.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedures and review history/medication lists.
• Document in electronic medical record and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
