Job summary

The role requires NJ RN licensure, a nursing degree (ASN or diploma) with BSN in progress preferred, and BLS/CPR certification within 60 days. Experience and residency program participation are valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey RN license.
• ASN or diploma in nursing is required; BSN preferred or in progress within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of six months nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data relevant to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize changes in clinical and diagnostic status.
• Identify education needs for patient and family based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-centered plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the care plan effectively.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes and adjust care accordingly.
