Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the evening shift in Hackensack, NJ. You will deliver direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team, collect data, and participate in planning and evaluating patient outcomes.

This role requires an RN license in New Jersey, an associate degree or diploma in nursing (BSN preferred), and BLS/CPR. You will grow clinically while supporting patient families and coordinating care across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
