Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Radiology Nurse for full-time day shifts (9am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday). The role requires strong nursing knowledge, IV access skills, and the ability to monitor patients during CT and MRI procedures.

You will verify orders, obtain consent, administer meds/contrast, and provide post-procedure care while maintaining sterile technique. Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years' critical care or radiology experience are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a critical care or radiology area.
• Meets Level II Ladder Program criteria in Radiology Department.
• Licensed RN in the State of Florida; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing activities in the Diagnostic Radiology, CT and MRI areas.
• Verify patient orders, proper procedure, patient identification and consent.
• Establish IV access for studies requiring IV contrast.
• Monitor procedures, administer meds/contrast and document activities.
• Recognize contrast reactions and respond appropriately.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Provide post-procedure care and discontinue IV site.
• Assist Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Ensure knowledge of procedures, indications, risks and scheduling.
• Instruct patients regarding procedure and post-procedure care.
