Required Credentials: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or verification from an ARRT-approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date. If hired before graduation, indirect supervision by an ARRT-certified diagnostic technologist is required until the degree is verified. Cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.
Unit Details: Independently performs diagnostic radiography procedures using established protocols. Uses complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and documentation of image data. Administers PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy. Reviews patient history and physician orders, applies departmental protocols, documents patient history in the electronic record, and ensures exams are coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charged appropriately.
Special Requests: Clinicians may be eligible for an earlier start date if they have recent PA fingerprint results and PA Child Abuse Clearance Results obtained within <5 years.
