Job summary

Trinity Health Medical Group seeks a Prior Authorization Specialist to review, submit and monitor medical necessity authorizations for high-tech radiology services and DME across multiple offices.

The role requires strong knowledge of insurance processes, medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT coding; you will handle urgent authorizations and collaborate with providers and payers to obtain timely approvals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Associate degree in healthcare or approved allied credential.
• Valid, unrestricted LPN/PTA/RT license or listed certifications.
• 1–3 years clinical experience; 3–5 years with insurance referrals.

Responsibilities

• Review and obtain prior authorizations for high-tech radiology services.
• Communicate with providers and insurers about next steps.
• Update EMR with approval/denial information and follow up.
• Mentor teammates and support multiple offices as needed.
