RadNet in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Radiology Practitioner Assistant to join a dedicated radiology team. You will verify orders, prepare patient information, and perform diverse diagnostic and interventional procedures under radiologist supervision.

The role requires State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, a Fluoroscopy permit, ACLS, and ARRT certification is preferred. Excellent communication and patient-care skills are essential, with travel to outpatient imaging centers as needed.

Qualifications

• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology required.
• Fluoroscopy permit required.
• ACLS certification required.
• RPA/RA certification from an approved program with radiologist-directed preceptorship.
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and review patient’s referring physician orders prior to exams.
• Provide complete patient information for interpreting physicians, including consent, health status, prescriptions, and contraindications.
• Perform diagnostic and/or interventional radiology procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Assist radiologist with biopsies, drainages, and other procedures.
• Assist in image acquisition and communication of image evaluation reports.
• Record patient history and communicate observations to the radiologist.
• Communicate radiologist’s report to referring physician per guidelines.
• Provide post-care instructions to patients.
• Travel to outpatient imaging centers as needed.
