Mission Doctor’s Group at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX seeks a Radiology Physician Assistant to support radiologists in imaging-guided procedures and patient care. The role involves reviewing histories, obtaining consents, and documenting outcomes, with duties across ultrasound, CT, and X-ray procedures.

Qualified candidates have a PA degree, TX license, NCCPA certification, and experience in radiology or interventional settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in radiology or interventional specialties.
• Prior experience with fluoroscopy or image-guided procedures.
• Current Physician Assistant license issued by the Texas Medical Board.
• Current certification by the NCCPA.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire and maintained.
• Must be credentialed and privileged by the HMC Medical Staff Office.
• RPA designation preferred but not required if experience aligns with scope.
• Certified Radiology Practitioner (RPA) or ARRT registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists with image-guided procedures, help set up sterile fields, position patients, and provide hands-on support during procedures using ultrasound, CT, or X-ray.
• Review patient history, answer questions, obtain consent, and explain what to expect before procedures.
• Review imaging studies, identify obvious abnormalities, and discuss preliminary impressions with the radiologist.
• Order imaging studies as allowed by state regulations and facility policy.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after radiologic procedures.
• Enter detailed notes on procedures, patient responses, imaging results, and follow-up recommendations.
