Position Details
- Full-time, permanent
- IR Division provides care at multiple core academic institutions, supporting hospitals across the greater Pittsburgh area.
- Join the largest academic radiology department in the US.
- Workload: 70% clinical / 30% academic, negotiable.
- The academic component includes research, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Opportunity to help build and develop a new IR Institute.
- Call schedule: 1:4-5.
- Hepatobiliary procedure experience is a plus.
- CAQ in VIR is preferred.
- Team includes 9 IR physicians and 6 dedicated APPs.
- Participates in the IR/DR dual certification residency program, including both integrated and independent pathways, in partnership with diagnostic radiology residency.
- Performs a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures and maintains outpatient clinics at multiple sites, with services in oncology, hepatobiliary, transplant, trauma, vascular, and pediatric interventional radiology.
- Engaged in multiple translational research studies, both locally and nationally.
- Research focuses include interventional oncology, organ transplantation, hepatobiliary disease, trauma, and portal hypertension.
- Strong clinical and academic collaborations with Hepatology, Transplant Surgery, Liver Surgery, and Oncology, affiliated with the Cancer Center.
