A medical facility seeks coverage for an interventional radiologist focusing on consultations and various procedures. The role includes managing day shifts, home call duties overnight, and weekend coverage. Candidates must be board certified or eligible and complete an interventional radiology fellowship, along with relevant certifications. Call responsibilities and performing an average of 10-15 procedures daily are core to this position.

Schedule/Availability Requirements:- Main need is for a 7-day coverage week stretch at a time.- Coverage includes day shifts on campus and home call overnight after 5 pm.- Weekends involve home calls with potential for case requirements.
Duties: - Handle call responsibilities including consults and procedures.- Required to perform a range of procedures from venous access and biopsies to TIPS, trauma, and DVT/PE work.
Required Procedures:- Broad spectrum of procedures excluding neuro IR.
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff:- Team includes IR MDs and APPs, with US and CT procedure rooms as well as angio suites.
Credentialing Information:- Timeframe: 45-60 days, contingent on timely submission of required information.- Credentialing with multiple facilities is not required.
Submission Requirements:- Board Certified/Board Eligible- AZ license or IMLC- Interventional Radiology Fellowship- ACLS certification- DEA license- Preferred clean malpractice history- Availability at time of submission
On-Call Requirements:- Night and weekend call, with the potential for emergent situations requiring in-person responses.
Additional Information:- Average procedures per day: 10-15, primarily interventional.- Call coverage during both day and night. - Completing an IR fellowship is required; board certification in IR, if available, is preferred.
