Job summary

Radiology Forward in Maryland is seeking a Technologist Aide to join a team delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will greet patients, register them, collect copays, verify information, and coordinate with clinicians to keep appointments on track.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of medical office experience, basic computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS certification. Training on-site will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information. Notify patient arrival and inform about delays, offering rescheduling for timely care.
• Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation is complete.
• Schedules, reschedules or cancels appointments; confirms appointments and notifies staff of changes.
• Ensure that equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.
• Assist technologists with patients.
• Safeguards patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards medications on site following policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrates professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interacts diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.
