Job Description Summary

The Radiology RN Supervisor directly reports to the Radiology Manager and indirectly to the Medical Director. Under the direction of the Medical Director, and in collaboration with the IR supervisor and IR manager, the Radiology RN Supervisor supervises (Vascular Interventional Radiology) VIR procedural nursing at ART and MH, VIR prep/recovery nursing (CH 5th floor) and patient care coordinator staff. This role participates in the overall patient care experience within Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) to include nursing assessments and professional and clinical development.

Job Summary/Purpose: The Radiology RN Supervisor directly reports to the Radiology Manager and indirectly to the Medical Director. Under the direction of the Medical Director, and in collaboration with the IR supervisor and IR manager, the Radiology RN Supervisor supervises (Vascular Interventional Radiology) VIR procedural nursing at ART and MH, VIR prep/recovery nursing (CH 5th floor) and patient care coordinator staff. This role participates in the overall patient care experience within Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) to include nursing assessments and professional and clinical development.

Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of two years critical care nursing experience required. Supervisory or other leadership experience including clinical radiology interventional experience preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking (Continuous). Ability to climb stairs (Infrequent). Ability to work indoors (Continuous) and outdoors in temperature extremes (Infrequent). Ability to work from elevated areas (Frequent) and in confined spaces (Frequent). Ability to perform various physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting/carrying weights up to 50 lbs. unassisted (Infrequent). Ability to maintain vision and hearing acuity (Continuous). Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required (Frequent).
