Strong assessment, teamwork, and patient safety are essential, along with commitment to quality care and patient experience. The ideal candidate has at least two years of RN experience, ambulatory and radiation safety experience, BSN, and AHA BLS/ACLS; PALS

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• BSN required for this assignment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology

Location: New York, NY 10029

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: 4 Days/Week | 10-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM–9:30 PM

Pay: Local: $2450 to $2500/weekly

Travel: $2850 to $2900/weekly

Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology for a contract opportunity in New York, NY. The RN will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while supporting patients undergoing radiology services. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and a commitment to patient safety, quality standards, and a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of RN experience, a minimum of two years of ambulatory experience, and knowledge of radiation safety practices. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required for this assignment, and PALS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, and evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process and established clinical standards.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and apply critical-thinking skills when planning and delivering care.
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, health promotion, disease prevention, and transitions of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families while demonstrating compassion, respect, empathy, and active listening.
• Support patient experience initiatives, including purposeful rounding, bedside shift reporting, and care coordination.
• Identify and elevate patient safety concerns, clinical risks, and opportunities for quality improvement.
• Follow institutional policies, evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
• Support patient throughput and coordinate care delivery during assigned shifts.
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and communicate resource or staffing concerns to appropriate nursing leadership.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, peer reviews, nursing initiatives, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of ambulatory and radiation safety experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for this assignment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong clinical assessment, patient-care, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional nursing standards.
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification.
• Experience in radiology nursing or ambulatory care settings.
• EPIC experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with patient education, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to support patient flow and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
