Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem is seeking a full-time Nursing professional in Radiology Services. The role requires NYS RN license and NP certification, with BLS. You will deliver comprehensive patient care, coordinate services, and support clinical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the NYSED.
• Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the NYSED.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous comprehensive medical and nursing care to patients and families.
• Manages health problems and coordinates care for various patient populations.
• Differentiates between normal and abnormal findings in screening to detect changes needing physician intervention.
• Develops partnerships with community-based organizations and makes referrals as needed.
• Evaluates and interprets patient data to plan and implement nursing interventions.
• Consults with physicians to evaluate findings and plan treatment to improve outcomes.
• Formulates differential diagnoses and plans of care based on medical history and exams.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans for effectiveness and safety.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and therapies as appropriate.
• Manages patient session schedules to ensure availability and continuity of care.
• Educates nursing staff and patients regarding health status and treatment plans.
• Keeps documentation up to date and communicates progress to the team.
• Performs related duties as directed.
