Description:The Multimodality Technologist performs imaging procedures in two or more disciplines, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, or interventional radiology.Procedures are performed on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician for the diagnosis of disease and injury.The technologist is responsible for performing high-quality multimodality procedures according to established protocols in a timely manner.Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.Demonstrates understanding of radiation dose reference levels and monitors radiation dose.Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exams are performed.Communicates clearly with patients and their families regarding the tests to be performed.Prepares patients for procedures by positioning them and utilizing immobilization devices.Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection control, drug, and radiation policies.Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.Reports issues to management or the appropriate department.Maintains medical imaging records according to department policies and procedures.Able to perform tasks independently without routine oversight.Demonstrates a calm and helpful attitude under stress and takes appropriate steps to resolve issues.Ensures customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service.Serves as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members.Able to take call if required.
