Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an MRI Technologist in Charleston, SC for a 13-week contract. The role involves performing MRI and MRA imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining equipment quality in a clinical setting.

The position requires ARRT MRI registration, a minimum of 1 year MRI experience, and BLS certification. Cardiac/ Breast MRI experience is a plus but not required. On-site work with patient-centered care is expected.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI and MRA imaging procedures on patients in a clinical setting. The technologist will adhere to facility policies and procedures, ensuring safety and comfort for all patients during imaging sessions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI/MRA procedures on various anatomical regions including brain, abdomen, spine, and extremities.
• Ensure the proper functioning of MRI equipment and maintain quality control standards.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year MRI experience.
• ARRT MRI registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• Cardiac MRI and Breast MRI experience preferred but not required.
