Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an MRI Technician in Arcata, CA for a 13-week contract. You will operate MRI equipment, perform diagnostic imaging, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities include conducting scans, preparing patients, monitoring them, and maintaining equipment while ensuring high-quality image documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT/ARMRIT certification preferred.
• BLS certification required for all staff.
• TB screen negative within 12 months of start date.
• A second imaging modality is preferred.

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in operating MRI equipment, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI scans and operations with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process to alleviate concerns.
• Monitor patients during scans and provide necessary support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as required.
• Ensure all images are properly documented and reviewed for quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT or ARMRIT certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract starting date.
• A second modality preferred.
