Radiology Mammography Technologist - Flexi - Radiology Operations Gardendale
Position Description:
Work Schedule: Flexi, Irregular
Work Location: Gardendale Radiology Operations
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiological procedures and specialized mammography procedures not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. May be assigned a variety of other duties by department management to include, but not limited to: patient escort services, quality control, and participation in a variety of training and committee work, including maintenance of accreditation according to the ARRT and the FDA.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred: Prior experience in Mammography.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: Currently registered as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography. Must be Mammography registry eligible. Registry eligible individuals must pass certification exam within one year of the date of hire. CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred: ARRT registration with advanced certification in mammography preferred.
