Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Radiology Medical Assistant II in the Breast Imaging department for a full-time daytime role. You will assist Radiologic Technologists, manage clerical tasks, schedule exams and aid patient flow, while helping with audits and system use across PACS, EPIC, and Kronos.

The position rotates between two sites: 1 South Prospect Street, Burlington, and UVM Medical Center main campus, with shifts such as 8:00am–4:30pm, 8:30am–5:00pm, and 10:00am–6:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; LNA or comparable medical experience preferred.
• Previous hospital or health care experience preferred.
• This is a bargaining union position.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Radiologic Technologists in conducting patient exams by assisting clerical, non-technical and non-exposure tasks.
• Schedules and processes exams and trains new medical assistants in the department.
• Manages workflow, answers phones, stocks rooms and assists patients to and from exam rooms and department.
• Utilizes department computer systems (PACS, EPIC, KRONOS) and prepares for regulatory and hospital audits.
