Job summary

  • Associate's degree or higher in radiologic technology or equivalent training.
  • Two-year technical program completed; radiology tech program completed.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist certification required at hire.
  • Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification required at hire.
  • National Registries (ARRT Radiography, CCVI, Cardiac-Interventional, Cardiovascular-Interventional, Vascular-Interventional) required or within specified timelines.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association required at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist interventional radiology procedures as circulator or scrub.
  • Support physicians during angiography, venography, fistula grams, central line placement, biopsies, drainages, and pain injections.
  • Contribute to patient care and safety in a fast-paced OR/IR setting.

Description

Assist the interventional radiologist, vascular surgeon, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, neuro-interventional radiologist, or neurosurgeon with performing interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to diagnostic and therapeutic angiography of the head and body, venography, fistula grams, central line placement, biopsies, drainages, and pain injections. Typical roles performed during procedures are as circulator or scrub assist.
