Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking an Imaging Technologist I for TMCOne Rita Orthopedics. You will operate radiography equipment, position patients, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include image optimization, safety compliance, room preparation, and documentation in the radiology system. Requires ARRT/CRT and BLS certifications with a two-year degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• One year of experience operating radiography equipment preferred.
• Arizona CRT, ARRT, and BLS certification; additional certification per department.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment per manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Positions patients and instructs them to obtain the desired imaging results.
• Maintains image quality by following standards and adjusting as needed.
• Works with physicians, nurses and other health care staff in diagnostic testing.
• Adheres to asepsis and radiation safety protocols.
• Prepares room and equipment; ensures patient safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Uses department systems and performs clerical duties as required.
