Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a Health Technician to support the Radiology/Imaging Department at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in North Las Vegas, NV. This position focuses on patient care, transport, and administrative support.

The role works with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure safe, efficient care for Veterans. Requires BLS certification and willingness to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in a healthcare, hospital, radiology, or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to pass required VA background and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely throughout the medical center using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
• Support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and promptly report changes in condition.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when required.
• Maintain patient records, process documentation, and support imaging department workflows.
• Answer phones, assist patients and visitors, and provide general administrative support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
